Vegas.com has deployed a new technology that allows Las Vegas visitors already in town to browse show times, ticket prices, reviews, and video clips on their cell phones or PDA’s. Then you can click a link to be directly connected to a “live expert” to purchase tickets by credit card.
Confirmation of “Box Office In Your Pocket” purchases is emailed in the form of a bar code that is later scanned for admission to the theater.
The service is part of vegas.com’s new Mobile Concierge service, which also has updated hotel content.
Vegas.com runs concierge services at more than 70 Sin City locations and manages box offices at major hotels on and off the Las Vegas Strip.
The new “Box Office In Your Pocket” service is available by either text messaging 777 to shortcode VEGAS (83427) or by visiting: mobile.vegas.com on handheld devices. Source: Janet Fullwood
