Among the many Las Vegas things to do on the strip, witnessing the eruption of the Volcano at the Mirage is a must see. The first eruption took place in 1989 and it’s still a wonder to see in person.
But like everything else in Las Vegas, the volcano is getting bigger and better. A major transformation is underway and we can’t wait for the premier later this year.
The Mirage has teamed up with legendary Grateful Dead drummer Mickey Hart, Indian musical virtuoso Zakir Hussain and Fountains of Bellagio design firm WET to create the all-new audio /visual Mirage Volcano spectacle. Hart and Huaasin will record a unique soundtrack arranged exclusively for the volcanic attraction.
WET’s choreographed FireShooters™ - will send massive red-hot fireballs more than 12 feet into the Vegas desert air. An impressive state-of-the-art sound system will also be installed by Meyer Sound.
